Nissan has made three announcements, all of which intend to sharpen the global significance and sales of its NISMO performance arm. Calling it "a new era for NISMO as its global performance car and motorsports brand," Carlos Ghosn cut the ribbon on the new, larger, nicer NISMO headquarters in Yokohama, Japan. For the first time since the division was founded in 1984, all of its employees are located in one place that was dubbed "a hothouse of passion and performance." Sign us up.

Snow-covered 2013 Nissan Pathfinder long-term vehicle - front three-quarter view

I took the keys to our long-term 2013 Nissan Pathfinder from Editor-in-Chief Neff (who left me with an empty gas tank, for the record) directly following the Detroit Auto Show. That means that, by the time you all read this, I'll have been in possession of the Pathfinder for more time, and driven it more miles than any Autoblogger so far. On the 2nd of January this year my 2011 370Z received its 30,000-mile service with about 29,200 miles on the odometer. The vehicle was picked up from me at work as I work only several miles from the dealership, which was great. The car was picked up from me at around 1:30PM. Having the car returned to me was a different story. I work a 7AM-7PM shift, and I presume the dealer closes before 7:00PM.
